Clean Energy and I-hub

An energy assessment was carried out in sampled schools covered by the project in March 2020 and results were well documented for further action. A baseline questionnaire has been developed and piloted and is awaiting administration. The study will establish the state of affordable and clean energy, water and sanitation conditions, food security and climate actions. It will also form a baseline for measurement of the impact of the interventions being rolled out.
iii. A plan to have a briquette factory is in place. An energy saving Jiko has been constructed in one of the households and is functioning. The Climate Change Training Center will have one for learning purposes once resources are available. This initiative will be scaled up to the rest of the
households. This will reduce firewood usage, reduce emissions and promote a healthy society.
